  • Manufacturer: NIBE Ltd. (Pune-based).

  • Technology collaboration with Elbit Systems.

  • Suryastra / SURYA universal multi-calibre rocket launcher.

  • First domestically produced high-precision rocket launcher with up to 300 km strike range

Key capabilities of Suryastra system

Strike and range

  • Multi-calibre, universal rocket launcher

  • Capable of integrating multiple rocket types

  • Strike ranges:

    • 150 km

    • 300 km

Accuracy

  • Circular Error Probable (CEP): Less than 5 metres

  • CEP: Radius within which 50% of projectiles are expected to fall.

  • Indicates high-precision, guided strike capability

Operational features

  • Surface-to-surface precision strikes

  • Ability to engage multiple targets simultaneously

  • Targets at varying ranges in a single operational framework

  • Designed to significantly enhance deep-strike artillery firepower

Technology collaboration

  • In July 2025, NIBE Ltd. signed a Technology Collaboration Agreement (TCA) with Elbit Systems

  • Objective:

    • Manufacture advanced universal rocket launcher system in India
